SWK 305 Diversity in Social Work(RNL)

3 hours; 3 credits. A framework for the development of the cultural competency skills needed to work with diverse clients, social groups, and communities. The course introduces the student to Critical Multicultural Theory, a theoretical framework for understanding and respecting culturally diverse populations. The theories presented in this course are the basis for the integration of cultural diversity issues throughout the curriculum. Prerequisite: Admission to the BSSW program.
