Theoretical traditions and schools of thought within contemporary sociology including those of functionalism, conflict theory, exchange theory, neo-Marxism, feminism, ethnomethodology, world-systems theory, and historical-comparative theory. Underlying assumptions and cultural biases in social thought. Prerequisite: SOC 200.
