PHL 216 Ideas and the World: 600 BCE to 1600 CE(RLA)

4 hours; 4 credits. The development of philosophy from pre-Socratic times through the 16th century. Emphasis on the dialogues of Plato and the writings of Aristotle with attention to such other thinkers as Epicurus, Marcus Aurelius, Plotinus, Augustine, and Aquinas. (social science). Prerequisites: (A 100-level course in philosophy or sophomore standing), ENG 111, COR 100. Please Note: This course satisfies the college option.
