WGS 217 Introduction to Women's History(RLA)

(Also HST 217). 4 hours; 4 credits; An overview of the history of women and the role of gender in history, focusing especially on the period since the 1700s. The course will examine key texts regarding women and their status in world history and address the development of the discipline of women's history within the larger field of women's studies. For History majors and minors, this is designated as a world history course. (social science) (p&d). Prerequisites: ENG 111, COR 100. Please Note: This course satisfies the college option.
