POL 261 International Organizations

4 hours; 4 credits. Examines how international organizations (intergovernmental, non-governmental, supranational, regional, functionally specialized) shape and are shaped by the contemporary global order. Special emphasis on the structures and functions of the United Nations, regional organizations (e.g., EEU, Organization of American States, Arab League, ASEAN), and the WTO. (cont. wld.) (social science). Prerequisites: ENG 151, COR 100. Please Note: This course satisfies the college option.
