GEG 221 Geography of East Asia(RLA)

4 hours; 4 credits. An introduction to the physical and human geography of China, Japan, and Korea. After a focus on climatic and geomorphological features, biogeography, and distribution of natural resources, the course will cover human geographic features including cultural landscapes, demography, industrialization, urbanization, and globalization. For Geography majors, this is designated as a regional course. (cont. wrld.) (social science). NOTE: This course satisfies the College Option. Prerequisite: ENG 151, COR 100
