SOC 260 Class, Status, and Power(CO)(CW)(P&D)

4 hours; 4 credits. Historical and comparative analysis of social classes and strata—their emergence, persistence, and change—in different types of societies. The effects of class, status, and power on the quality of life, social relations, and contests over notions of justice. Recent changes in class structure. (p&d) (social science) (cont. wld.). NOTE: This course satisfies the college option. Prerequisites: ENG 151, COR 100.
