4 hours. Pre-colonial and colonial history of the Caribbean; an examination of the policies of the metropolitan powers, and the emergence of anticolonialist movements. For History majors and minors, this is designated as a world history course. For African and African Diaspora Studies majors and minors, this is designated as The Caribbean course.
