AST 160 Space Science II(SW)

3 class hours, 2 laboratory hours; 4 credits. Energy transport; stellar structure and evolution and origins; interstellar medium and star birth; galactic and extragalactic astronomy and cosmology; the Big Bang and beyond. Laboratory emphasis will be on stellar photometry and spectroscopy. Field trips and/or day and evening astronomical observation sessions will be required. (FSWR) (STEM) (science). Prerequisite: AST 120. Corequisite: MTH 232.
